<Unit640> sipa and laanwj: I didn't understand your replies yesterday. At the end of the day, am I supposed to ignore the "noncodesigned.SHA256SUMS" and only check the hashes in the "all.SHA256SUMS" files?
<Unit640> (I've been trying to get this basic question answered for like a week now!)
Talkless has quit [Client Quit]
<laanwj> correct, as an end-user you should use all.SHA256SUMS
<Unit640> Thanks.
<Unit640> Still confused about the naming of calling it "all", but I guess it means "for all"?
<laanwj> it covers all files (the full release)
<laanwj> i guess the guix.sigs README.md could use some explanation
<Unit640> It sure could!

<laanwj> dunno if there's a simpler way, but the easiest way ive found to make big-endian bdb wallets for testing is to run db_dump wallet.dat | db_load wallet_bigendian.dat in an ubuntu s390x docker (as used by the CI)
<laanwj> needs the package db-util (though this will install db 5.3 on current ubuntu)

<Unit640> "big-endian bdb wallets"?
<Unit640> I assume that's not meant for me.
<bitcoin-git> [bitcoin-maintainer-tools] laanwj opened pull request #161: fastcopy-chaindata: Leveldb file numbers can exceed 6 digits (main...2024-04-fastcopy-leveldb-bound) https://github.com/bitcoin-core/bitcoin-maintainer-tools/pull/161
<laanwj> it's for people testing https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/26606

<achow101> laanwj: I think db_load has an option to set the byte order
<achow101> db4.8_dump wallet.dat | db4.8_load -c db_lorder=4321 be_wallet.dat
